     CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch therapy that can create dramatic improvements in your life.  It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.

     CranioSacral Therapy releases tensions that create blockages in the body, to allow the entire body to relax and self-correct.  Using a gentle touch (about the weight of a nickel) the practitioner evaluates your internal environment by feeling for the craniosacral rhythm.  This rhythm is created by the cerebrospinal fluid moving in and around the brain and spinal cord, but can be felt anywhere on the body.  By carefully listening with the hands to locate areas of weak flow or tissue motion, the practitioner can trace those areas of weakness through the body to the original source of restriction or dysfunction.

     Once the restrictions are identified, delicate manual techniques are then used to release the problem areas and allow your body’s own self-correcting mechanisms to work more effectively.

     Reiki and Healing Touch are very relaxing and comforting modalities that facilitate healing within the body, mind and spirit.  They assist in accelerating the body’s natural healing ability and open both the mind and spirit to the causes of disharmony or dis-ease within the body.  They help loosen blocked energy and allow the body to come back into the balance it so desires.  They assist the body in cleansing itself of toxins and work in conjunction with and as an adjunct to medical and non-medical treatments and therapies.

     A Healing Touch or Reiki session brings about deep relaxation, feelings of warmth, well-being and comfort.  If you are uncertain about which modality to try first, either Healing Touch or Reiki is a good start.  They are both techniques that will support you on your journey to health and healing in a very gentle and effective way.  They are also wonderful modalities to use with children.

     I offer therapeutic massage (works on more specific problems and incorporates Swedish to give a well-rounded therapy), neuromuscular therapy (works on very specific areas of pain or discomfort and uses a very specialized technique to treat those areas), myofascial release technique (a gentle, but extremely effective technique that is used to relax and remove pain, discomfort and tightness).  Massage sessions can last 60 or 90 minutes.

Hot Stone Massage

     The application of heat using Hot stone massage softens tissues, increases circulation, metabolism, and the inflammatory response while it decreases pain and muscle spasms.  Hot stone massage can be used as a spot treatment or a full body treatment.  The wonderful combination of essential oils and heat from the stones creates a deep state of relaxation and well-being.



     Reflexology has been a healing modality for thousands of years and has been used to assist in healing many ailments, relieving pain and providing deep relaxation.  
     Imagine lying on a comfortable massage table with a pillow under your head and your feet propped up and wrapped in a nice warm towel.  Ahhhhh .......... Then soothing essential oils are rubbed on your feet while I gently massage your feet using specific reflexology techniques to alleviate pain, provide relaxation and more.  Your lower legs are lightly massaged to relieve tension and allow lymph to flow. 
     Your hands are then given the same wonderful experience.  When done, each foot and hand is wrapped in a warm towel while you are bathed in the healing energy of Healing Touch Relaxation Techniques.
